Arne Slot was shown a straight red card by referee Michael Oliver immediately after Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Everton on Wednesday night.
Liverpool looked set to move nine points clear at the top of the Premier League after Mohamed Salah gave his side the lead with 17 minutes remaining.
However, James Tarkowski scored an equaliser in the eighth minute of injury time to rescue a point for Everton in their final Merseyside derby before they move to their new stadium.
Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure sparked a major row between the two teams after he angered Liverpool fans moments after the final whistle.
Doucoure and Curtis Jones were both shown red cards after the argument, which led to police and stadium stewards intervening.
Slot was also shown a red card after appearing to shake Oliver's hand too forcefully. As soon as he released his hand, Oliver immediately pulled the red card out of his back pocket.
Slot and Oliver's conversation was hidden from the camera, however, another camera captured the Liverpool manager asking the referee: "Did you give me a red card for that?!"
Liverpool assistant manager Sipke Hulshoff was also shown a red card by Oliver after the match.
