Liverpool manager Arne Slot has praised the Premier League, describing it as the toughest league in world football, especially given the depth of the teams and the fierce competition.

"The Premier League is the most competitive league in the world. There are no leagues where teams in 14th and 16th place can reach a European final," said Slot, highlighting the tough nature of the English league.

Slot's talk comes at a time when English clubs such as Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea have advanced to European finals, despite some finishing in the middle of the domestic league table.

Slot, who recently won the English title with Liverpool in a 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham, said he plans to play the substitutes in the remaining matches, boosting the team's competitiveness and prestige.

His perspective reveals how the Premier League is an unpredictable league, where domestic rankings do not always translate into European success.
